Two-factor authentication

Setting up, managing, and disabling 2FA on your LiftSignals account.

Why enable 2FA?

Two-factor authentication adds a second verification step when you log in. Even if your password is compromised, 2FA prevents unauthorised access. We strongly recommend enabling 2FA, especially for Owner and Admin accounts.

Setting up 2FA

1
Go to Settings → Security → Two-factor authentication
Click "Enable 2FA".
2
Install an authenticator app
We recommend Google Authenticator or Authy. Both are available on iOS and Android.
3
Scan the QR code
Open your authenticator app, tap "Add account", and scan the QR code shown in LiftSignals.
4
Enter the 6-digit code to verify
Type the current 6-digit code from your authenticator app to confirm setup.
5
Save your backup codes
LiftSignals generates 8 single-use backup codes. Store these securely — they let you access your account if you lose your phone.

When 2FA is required

2FA is prompted at every login from a new device, and periodically on existing devices as a security check. You can configure the "trust this device for 30 days" option to reduce friction on devices you use regularly.
