Export issues — Klaviyo, Attentive, and Meta

Diagnosing and fixing problems with audience exports to connected platforms.

Export stuck in "Pending" for a long time

Exports typically complete within 60 seconds for audiences under 10,000 records. If an export is pending for more than 5 minutes:

  1. Check the notification centre for an export error notification
  2. Go to Audiences → Schedules and check the last run status for scheduled exports
  3. Check the destination platform's status page (status.klaviyo.com, etc.)

Klaviyo — fewer profiles than expected

This is usually correct behaviour — Klaviyo matches profiles by email and updates existing profiles rather than creating duplicates. The "imported" count in Klaviyo may be lower than the export count because profiles that already exist are counted as "updated", not "imported".

Klaviyo — 401 Unauthorized on export

Your Klaviyo API key has been revoked or the permissions have changed. Go to Settings → Integrations → Klaviyo → Reconnect and enter a new API key.

Meta — export fails with "Audience not found"

The Meta Custom Audience may have been deleted in Meta Ads Manager. Create a new audience in LiftSignals and re-export. If the same audience ID is needed, contact Meta support to restore the audience.

Attentive — profiles skipped

Attentive exports only include SMS-opted-in customers with valid phone numbers. If your audience has 1,000 customers but only 200 are exported, the remaining 800 either have no phone number or are not SMS opted-in. This is correct behaviour.
